Not only did BYD sink its automotive safety technology and release special lithium batteries for two-wheeled vehicles, but recently, another major brand announced its entry into the lithium battery market, mainly introducing small-capacity lithium batteries.     In May 2025, BYD launched a special lithium battery for two-wheeled vehicles, which decentralized the technology of new energy vehicles and batteries, allowing two-wheeled electric vehicles to use lithium batteries with "blade battery" structure, thus rewriting the safety problem of lithium batteries for two-wheeled electric vehicles.

The special lithium battery for two-wheeled vehicles released by BYD uses lithium iron phosphate batteries, which do not catch fire during the needle prick test, and also supports greater pressure to ensure the safety of lithium batteries.

    Following BYD, Guoxuan Gaoke, the third largest new energy vehicle, also announced that it would produce small power batteries with capacity ranging from 0.25 to 20 KWh, announcing its entry into the two-wheeled vehicle market.   Guoxuan Gaoke's small-capacity batteries are not only used in electric bicycles, but also in takeaway electric vehicles, shared electric vehicles and light motorcycles.

  Achieve lifelong maintenance-free    The traditional lead-acid battery needs to be replaced once every 1 to 2 years, which is very troublesome. If new lithium batteries are used, their service life will be longer, generally 8 to 10 years, far exceeding the average service life of electric vehicles.    This also means that as long as the use of high-end lithium batteries, two-wheeled electric vehicles do not need to replace batteries, to achieve the same life of electric vehicles and batteries, batteries to achieve lifelong maintenance-free.    The range is improved    As we all know, the energy density of lithium batteries is much higher than that of lead-acid batteries, so lithium batteries with the same capacity are lighter and smaller, which also provides a basis for electric vehicles to configure large-capacity lithium batteries.    In addition, lithium batteries support fast charging technology, which can be charged to 80% in only 15 minutes.
